Amman, Oct. 14 (Petra) - The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and the Microfund for Women (MFW) company signed a partnership agreement Wednesday to promote social solidarity and expand health protection for all.
The agreement eases enrollment in the foundation’s "Ta’meen Ri’aya" (Care Insurance) program. The company will let subscribers pay annual fees in installments, based on easy terms and at 0% interest.
Talking at the signing ceremony, Nisreen Qatamesh, KHCF Director General said the partnership is an "effective model" of integration between the KHCF and national institutions, based on a shared vision to strengthen health protection and widen access to the program.
Qatamesh noted that the value of such partnerships lies in turning "institutional cooperation into tangible impact." She said this vision is achieved by making the program easier to reach and join, and raising public awareness of the need to prepare for the health and financial challenges of cancer, which entrenches the concept of sustainable health protection.
In turn, MFW Chief Executive Officer Maha Saeed said the agreement reflects the company’s social and humanitarian responsibility toward all segments of society.
She stated MFW believes financial obstacles shouldn't impede preventive and medical care, which led it to offer financing for Ri’aya premiums at 0% interest as a "practical expression of that responsibility." Under the agreement, the company provides financing to spread subscription fees into installments for people seeking treatment at the King Hussein Cancer Center through "Ta’meen Ri’aya," using simple procedures.
Meanwhile, KHCF provides the support needed to ensure smooth implementation and efficient delivery of exclusive treatment to patients at the center.
